Continuing from day 1, we went to Leofoo village. It is like USS in Singapore, but bigger? AND  F U R T H E R?! Initially our plan was to wake up really early and take public transport there which will take up to... 2 hours? Interestingly, when we were waiting for the bus, this driver, with a mini van, came over to us and offer to take us to the theme park within an hour for a price, he even had the tickets to the theme park. We initially doubted the driver and said "if anything fishy, we just beat him and run" in English.... er, haha turns out he was a genuine driver out to earn some money. I guess Taiwan is quite safe?

The first thing we went to do was to take the craziest ride in the theme park. I luuuurveeeee crazy rides, perks with traveling with friends! OHHHHHH and the crazy ass ride we took, Screaming Condor, trended on twitter recently?!

I did not take any pictures or videos there because most of the time we were on one of their rides, but here is one funny one (of Screaming Condor) from YT!

The theme park has an area dedicated to animals, its like zoo and USS combined.

The parrots came to pose for the camera, I am not even kidding!!

And then we called the driver and he dropped us at some night market... again. Taiwan is all about night market laaaaaa.

Later in the night we went down to town for their night club, but they are extremely strict on entry? Foreigners MUST have passports before they can enter?! We left, disappointed and for some of us, drunk.

Saturday

On the third day WE CYCLE ALL THE WAY TO BEITOU............ on the MRT it takes around 30 minutes? BUT when you cycle, it takes a few hours!! I strongly believe I died that day, my butt hurts really bad, I remember sniffing while cycling to return the bicycle. IMG_1045

EVERYBODY DAMN STEP, buy the shades from day 1 just to wear it on this day!!  We cycled to Beitou for the hot springs then returned our bikes - which took up the entire day already! At night, we rested and went back to try our luck at the night club, with our passports of course, and then.... THE POLICE RAIDS THE PLACE. From 2am-3am we did nothing but watch the police check everybody's I/C? We concluded that we did not like the place that much and left around 4am.

Sunday
With sore legs and achy buttocks, we went to climb one of the mountains at YMS?!?!?!?! I am talking about steep rocks and ropes shit. OMG, people climb that shit with proper equipments, like this long stick thing which they 'stab' the mountain so as to get a better grip? Some of them came up and when they saw me there were like o____o, cuz all I had was t-shirt, FBT and my netburner. And also because I am a young (almost bimbotic) girl. The peak however, was.... so breathtaking, we couldn't stop taking pictures.

When we came down the mountain, another painstaking 1-2 hours, the skies were already dark. We saw a entire kingdom of fireflies, I slightly sprained my ankle and..... exhausted to the bones. Sunday night H and I had to rush back to the hostel because I needed to be at the airport at around 1-2am to take my flight back.

Monday Morning (0200AM)
IT WAS MY FIRST SOLO FLIGHT EVER!?  I love the solo flight experience, and I feel that it should be on a stand alone entry itself! SOOOOOO, I shall reserve it for next time.

Monday Morning (0900AM)
My beloved daddy came and fetch me from my flight, sent me to school and send me back home again. Thanks daddy! Went straight  to class, although I am already an hour late. And in my school, when you are late, you are better off not attending, BUT GUESS WHAT, I was present, and on time on my attendance record. I want to hug the teacher so bad.

Healthy

(no visuals, quite boring la actually)

I want to lead a healthy lifestyle. *awkward silence* aiya, but if you really know me, you know that is extremely challenging. I eat a lot of rubbish everyday, especially McDonald's?! H pampers me a lot so he always get me McD's and Burg K even though I get really sick after some time. Let's just say, he never, ever force me to do anything that I do not wish to, even if its for my own good.

Gloom

Friday, November 14, 2014
Plagued by womanhood, I spent my morning whimpering in bed. The fact that I let okto tots play on television did not make things any better. "Bob, the builder, can we fix it? Bob, the builder, YES WE CAN!" I cannot resist that.

I woman-ed up (why man up, when you can woman up? I mean it takes serious guts to go on with life when your uterus is behaving like friggin' satan) to take a hot bath, and when I say hot, I mean like boiling hot. When aunt flo comes to visit, warmth is your friend.

"Your life will only grow to the level of pain you are willing to tolerate."
Oh, Sir Bishop Dale Bronner, how apt!

This gloom and solitude brings much comfort. Everyday should be Thursday.

Happy mid-week guys!

Date night

(no visuals, ok maybe 1 okok 2 visuals only)

Our legendary steak day finally coincide with the weekends! It was actually just out usual hang-out... that fatty made it sound like he made something special for me so I was quite disappointed initially. It turned out good in the end. It comes down to the person you spend the time with, I guess.

H brought me to outback steakhouse, and to be frank, I did not really enjoy their food. I do not think that it's their chef or their quality of food, it is more like..... my weird tastebuds? I have never enjoyed cafes, and atas food.  I do not get egg benedicts? It taste so bad to me. Bring me half boil eggs ANYDAY... or kway tiao, or cai fan, or fish & chips?! BUT BUT BUT, I really liked their appetiser though, it was uhm... bread and butter.

Outback-Steakhouse-in-Dubai-Brown-Bread-and-Butter

When they served this, I looked at H and telepathically told him "WTF?!" He tried a small piece of it (cuz he friggin adventurous) and told me to just give it a try. I remember going, "but it looks so tough?" Thankfully I tried it because I finished my share. It is the kind of food you would not mind having for the rest of your life.

The level of service was so good I wanted to tip the waiter, but I had zero cash. *poker face

SO BACK TO THE DATE,
H was goofing around and there was a point of time where we laughed, stopped, look at each other and laughed again. This went on for awhile and it made me really happy. I remember taking the train back home, (hated taking the trains, but H gets really sleepy whenever he takes the bus)  and we were just looking at each other, almost kissing, like we just got together. It was an intimate moment and I could not care less if people wanted to stomp us for putting our face so close together while in public.

1 year and 5 months into the relationship, all that I feared about starting over in a relationship was proof to be just fears and nothing else. KISS YOUR CHEEKS TOMORROW IF YOU STAY OUT, if not you wait until Friday lor.

Goodness in you

Saturday, November 8, 2014
I told you what I hate about you tonight, and it is fair that I tell you the best thing about you.

  1. You are a truly confident person... when you are doing your work at least. I loved that the best, I like it when people know what they are actually doing.

  2. When you are happy, you are extremely adorable. When your voice goes into that little lamb pitch that I love, asking me what I want to eat for lunch, that's the cutest.

  3. When you help me out with things when you feel that I am super duper slow. I feel very useless whenever you do that, but I know you do that out of love.

  4. When you get excited about handmade cards.

  5. When I thought you'd abandon me for a better choice of group and you didn't.

  6. When you made me that little bookmark thingy without knowing that I already have many.

  7. When you let me boast about how good Honwee is.

  8. When you address my boyfriend by his name.

  9. When you actually ask me about being together with Honwee. People like to ask superficial questions, but you would ask me "how is army life for him" etc.

  10. When you ask me to write your name on your textbooks because you like my handwriting better.

  11. When we always clash due to our different opinions, and we do not let it evolve into an endless argument

  12. When we settled our differences.

I feel that I have a lot more to say, but dwelling... dwelling makes me sad.
Maybe we were not even supposed to be this close to each other? I am not very sure. One thing I am very certain about: we can no longer live like that, this is not healthy. I still hope to be a good friend, till we see again.

Welcome to Taiwan (day 1)

HEY, as promised! //

Flying to Taiwan with Honwee and friends is probably one of the most impromptu (+yolo) decision I ever made because it involves me skipping class and flying back alone. I regret nothing. I could barely keep up when I flew back, but I regret nothing.

Wednesday night,
Honwee helped me pack my things before daddy and mummy Koh came over to fetch the both of us, and my luggage. Being the seasoned traveller Hon wee is, he helped me squeeze all my items into my extremely tiny luggage. I am thoroughly impressed. Honwee seems to mastered the art of packing! Air tight packing, tension relief, strategically placing the things together. I hope we will always travel together so he would packing my luggage for me.

Later into the night, the family drove both of us down to the airport. I loved that. I was never sent off to take a plane. Mummy Koh hugged the both of us before we walked through the gates. I can still feel my cheeks blushing. It was nice.

Thursday morning (00:00AM)
I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO ROAM AROUND THE CHECK-IN AREA LIKE A FREE CHILD. And so, we did. However we only had 1 hour to spare, which was too little if we wanted to go to all the terminals (but I really wanted to..... *pout). I followed Hon wee and friends around to hunt for supper before we board our TZ202.

(00:45AM)

When our flight took off, everybody slept. It was a 5-hours journey to Taiwan, everybody wanted to recharge themselves before stepping into Taiwan early in the morning. Hon wee got me Haribo gummy because he knew I have zero clue about removing ear pressure. We hit turbulence for a bit. I felt the plane rise and drop. It was not enough to put me into panic mode, but it kept me up all night.

(05:30AM)
We reached 15 minutes earlier according to the captain. We have our passports checked, went to their convenient store and got their famous sushi roll. According to one of them, it was quite good. So everybody ate and attempt to figure our way to our hostel.

Thursday Morning,
We took a bus back to Taipei. Which took us 1 hour, but the seats were really comfy and everybody K.O. yet again.

IMG_0932 IMG_0931 IMG_0930 IMG_0929

The first thing that welcomed us at Taipei was their chilly weather. It was almost like the entire place was covered in AC. Next, was just 8 lost travellers, finding their way to their hostel amid the busy morning traffic. It didn't really take us that long because boys have better sense of directions, right?

IMG_0938 IMG_0936 IMG_0935 IMG_0934

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT WE DID NEXT.

IMG_0940

Yes, LAN, taiwan lan-gaming. It was too early, all the shops were closed and we couldn't check-in until 3pm that day? We left our luggage under the care of our hostel and went out to walk, eat and shop.

IMG_0942 IMG_0941

IMG_0943

I am not exactly very adventurous when it comes to food, but I am pressured to "just try". Well, who am I to say no? I AM AT TAIWAN!

IMG_0946

IMG_0950

IMG_0952

IMG_0944we roamed the streets from 8am to 3pm, yes, i kid you not. 7 hours of roaming, but it was fun.  We went back to check-in to our hostel, I LOVE THE BEDS? There were 8  of us, so..... 4 bunk beds, AC, personal charging ports (did i mention that they were universal charing ports? We brought adapters, because Taiwan's charging ports are different, but well!), personal locker and a good view into... buildings. OKAY, maybe the view was not fantastic, but it was different from what I see when I look out of my AMK HDB.

IMG_0954IMG_0955

We rested for a bit and ran out again............. we are making FULL use of our time.

 IMG_0984 IMG_0983 IMG_0982 IMG_0981 IMG_0980 IMG_0979 IMG_0978 IMG_0977 IMG_0976 IMG_0975 IMG_0974 IMG_0973 IMG_0972 IMG_0971 IMG_0964 IMG_0963 IMG_0962 IMG_0961 IMG_0960 IMG_0958 IMG_0957 IMG_1007 IMG_1006 IMG_1005 IMG_1004 IMG_1003 IMG_1001 IMG_1000 IMG_0999 IMG_0998 IMG_0997 IMG_0995 IMG_0994 IMG_0992

We all went to their night markets to eat, EAT and EAT.

They have dog cafes there too, the goldies belong to the shop and they are so, so friendly. I am in love. Dogs are very common sight in Taiwan, they bring their dogs EVERYWHERE. Even to eat at kopitiams, I AM NOT EVEN JOKING HERE.
